Summer Offerings:
Math Word Problem Workshop, 8-Sessions, Tuition $280.00
Saturday, 6/24-Aug 17 (no class on Jul 6), small group class
Solving word problems is one of the most challenging parts of mastering math skills at
every level. These workshops are designed to introduce methodical techniques to help
students systematically solve word problems, laying a solid foundation to thoroughly
understand the key elements and interconnections of math word problems, as well as
applying math concepts to solving word problems.
Grade 3/Grade 4 (Fall 2024 incoming): 11:00am-12:00pm
Grade 4/Grade 5 (Fall 2024 incoming): 12:00pm-1:00pm
Grade 5/Grade 6 (Fall 2024 incoming): 1:00pm-2:00pm
Early-Start Math Workshop, 8-Sessions, Tuition: $320.00
Saturday, 6/24-Aug 17 (no class on Jul 6), small group class
It is often an uphill struggle once students have difficulty mastering key concepts and
skills needed in higher level math courses. Foundational math concepts are mostly
sequential, and cumulative weaknesses will continue to become bigger obstacles for
students in subsequent math courses. These workshops are designed to introduce
students to the math courses that they will be taking in the next school year, giving them
an early start to the key concepts, acquiring skills needed and building their confidence
to start their next school year.
Pre-Algebra: 2:30pm-3:30pm
Algebra I: 3:30pm-4:30pm
Algebra II: 4:30pm-5:30pm
Geometry: 5:30pm-6:30pm

We have had a collegiate level mathematics tutor join our staff!
As a student, he competed and awarded at the national level in Math and Science subjects. As a teacher, he coached 5-6 grade students to compete against top middle and high school students in American Mathematics Competitions; many of these young students placed in the top 1%. At the other end, he has helped many students struggling in math to overcome their weaknesses and attained continuing development in math.
He has decided to allocate 10 hours a week to coach some selected students (grade 3-10) who are serious about getting better in math, whether it be way ahead of one’s grade level or catching up and repairing the “math potholes”.
Lessons will be given at our learning center in Carson City.
Contact us to schedule a free 30-minute private consultation. Space is very limited.
